Running With Scissors

Things to know about Newscoma:

national-christmas-tree-night.jpg

  1. I am not a fan of Hillary Clinton. I want that to be said. I think she is a polarizing figure. It has nothing to do with other than the fact that she flip-flops. Her non-stop campaigning drives me nuts. Just saying. But I think John H. is right here too and we agree.
  2. I am not a fan of Rudy Giuliani, although sometimes I think he is one of the more liberal candidates running but I also think he flip-flops. I really can’t see the appeal, although I do think he did well that one day in September in 2001, although Sharon goes back in time and remembers what many want to forget on the Giuliani as does Carter.
  3. The Christmas tree is for Kat Coble.
  4. I think Jon hit this on the head so beautifully that I will go back and read it time and time again.
  5. Slartibartfast, you’re being encouraged here by Aunt B. and I think you should do it. I think you would give a wonderful perspective on fatherhood, adoption and the fact that not everyone is the same, but we can all still get along. You’re a conservative, I’m not, but I always find food for thought at Shoot The Moose and that is of the good.
  6. Cubs win. Celebrate while you can, Smiley.
  7. Sista, I’m missing some quarters. You been to northwest Tennessee lately? (courtesy of a comment from Sara Sue.)
  8. Yay to Ivy and Heather because this is just too fun.
  9. Blog how you want to blog. I like Abramson and Rob’s comments over at NiT though.
  10. Trying to get it together to come and see the local basketball team at State. I’ll let you guys know. This is Squirrel Queen’s thing. There will be meal at Toots, that much I can guarantee you.

Yeesh, guess who’s in town today? Campaigning in Point Loma?

Rudy Giuliani. blech. Opportunistic repugnant thuglican.

  3. ceeelcee says:

Do they have buffalo tofu wings at Toots?

    Sigh.

  4. Heather says:

What Ivy said. . . and I wish we had Toots down here. Maybe when Ivy and I are rich I’ll buy a franchise.

  5. sara sue says:

Thanks so much for the link! Hey…that tree is incredible, where is that?

  6. badger says:

Ha Ha Politicky, “Thuglican”! Ahhh…I just love the smell of pine on Fitzmas, don’t you Coma? Wait, maybe that’s the Febreeze wafting down the hall.

  7. Jon says:

Ha! Thanks for the link. Though Miss Gilbert deserves at least part of the credit on this one, the “well played” thing was totally a brainworm from her post on the Lynch film … it was the only way to get it out!!! : )

  8. newscoma says:

Those brainworms are pesky things, aren’t they?
    Well said, Jon.

  9. newscoma says:

    NOT THE FEBREEZE, BADGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Rob Robinson says:

Right on, NC. I especially agree about #1 and #4. I think Hillary is too polarizing a figure, too. I would be happy to vote for a woman to be president, but I’m not convinced she is the right person for the job. I don’t know enough about Rudy yet to have a strong opinion.

Thanks for the kind words on #9. :)
