Race Bannon, Man of Action

It’s the middle of the night.

Today, I’m going to haul my aging, diseased carcass back into the office and do the best I can. Which may be like Mabel putting our little paper together, but I’m going to give it my best shot. With that said, please remind me that folks shouldn’t go to sleep at 7 and then wake up at 1 a.m. If I could have gone into work when I woke up, that would be swell even though I still feel like a rotting cat in a dumpster. But no, I still have about six hours. I’m going to try to go back to sleep, but thus far that hasn’t worked.

And the Boomerang channel isn’t helping. I have became re-enthralled with Jonny Quest.

Is it wrong to think Race Bannon is the coolest cat in the world. I wish that Race Bannon was around when Homer and I were kids. Tonight, I got to see him fly around with a jetpack on and I also got to see a gargoyle (who was really Norway’s finest dwarf/acrobat dressed as a gargoyle, die in a hail of bullets from some guy that was very similar to a really mean Dr. Evil. I’m not lying.) People DIED on Jonny Quest. And I didn’t know that Tim Matheson was the voice of Jonny Quest.

Damn you Wikipedia for giving me yet more useless information.

Anyway, Race is the man.

Is this a healthy obsession?

I’m thinking not but what the hell.

And this was also on after the Race Bannon show. This was one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen. Seriously.

  1. I would have trouble watching “Jonny Quest” now without thinking of the pilot episode of “Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law” on Adult Swim, in which Race sues Dr. Quest for custody of the boys — and it’s strongly implied that Race and Dr. Quest have been, um, involved.

I saw that one. It was hysterical.
I love me some late night animation.
And “Venture Brothers” is so much fun I can’t hardly stand it.
