Still Processing It All
It’s not been 24 hours so I’m not going to get into the varying thoughts I have right now about the slaughter on the Virginia Tech slaughter yesterday.
I will say this, there is no way to really process this as having any rhyme or reason. We can pontificate as this story moves forward but it isn’t going to change that fact that this happened. Parents and friends will bury their loved ones and that’s a terrible thing to even consider. I have no doubt that gun rights will be debated, protecting students in a campus environment, releasing pertinent information to protect people instead of saying nothing and how this will play out in the mainstream media. We will be introduced to heroes and we will empathize with those grieving through their losses. And we will wonder how it got to this point. What happened?
And we, as a nation, will send an overwhelming pouring of love and disbelief that our kids were executed in a mindless act of violence. Because that’s what we do.
I also think we are going to see how the internet played in those two hours between shootings. I really thing that will be one of the secondary stories of social networking that may have helped save a few lives, but that’s another thing to think about another day.
There are lots of questions and very few answers.
I wish those in Virginia peace during all of this.

Those are all good discussions to be had. Unfortunately, there will be other discussions that accidently, or by design, to distract us from moving forward. I am thankful I have a place on the web to vent, it helped me yesterday to get something down.
I understand that completely. Ironically, I just came back here from your place.
See you this weekend.
Is that ironic, or coincidental?
Just weird and groovy, baby.
or both.
