Best Lost I’ve Seen In Awhile
Spoilers below, Read at your own risk
Ooohhh.
I had honestly gotten all snarky on Lost. I had. I was hoping that all of this season’s rambling around was going somewhere.
Well, dammit it all, it has. Last night’s episode was reminiscent of the Lost goodness of the first season. It answered a lot of questions, of course one being, that Kate is, indeed, ignorant. Looks good in a dirty wife-beater, I suppose, but still she did the big screw-up. But I digress. (Homer, of course, couldn’t get over Sayid and Desmond being in the same confined space together.)
I couldn’t get over that Sayid said it. He doesn’t trust Jack. Go Sayid! (Repeat after me, Make Sayid the the leader.)
So, I won’t ramble here incessantly, let’s do a Lost list:
- Locke is one crafty guy. And what was Richard Alpert looking so non-khakified giving him the file on James/Sawyer. Is there some dissent over Ben being the “leader?” And we’ve seen Richard (who it occurred to me this morning used to be on Suddenly Susan, a sit-com I never watched. Didn’t even look that one up until I thought about it. Yay me) off the island and on it. I don’t know why I find this significant, but I do.
- Anthony Cooper/Real Sawyer (“’cause I was young and Huck Finn was taken”) was one crazy sumbitch (as we say in the South.) Tearing up James/Current Sawyer’s letter was just dog-assed mean. But he’s never been a good guy anyway.Conning his kid out of a kidney, throwing him out of a window, stealing money without remorse, blah, blah, blah as he said to James/Current Sawyer. I mean he was the good guy on “Emergency”. Not anymore. I really dug his evilness last night.
- If Hurley is the conscience of the Losties, and he ain’t trusting Jack, then the good doctor is in trouble and is not the leader anymore. When Sayid asked if they’d told Jack about Naomi, and they said no and he said “Good.” Holy moly, I’ve predicted it before, we are heading into “Lord of the Flies” territory. I believe this.
- Jack, just tell Kate for God’s sake. Idiot boy. Now I will probably eat my words and he will do something heroic but this season, he’s just irritating me.
- Homer said “Is Mikhial the smoke monster?” I don’t know. I don’t think so. I just know he isn’t pushing up daisies like Ethan is.
- The tape recorder that Locke gave Sawyer is going to cause some issues. Of course, Locke continues to undermine Jack’s Authority. Well, good.
- ‘Coma Theory – Ben wanted Locke to kill Anthony Cooper/Sawyer to diminish his power. But Cooper had to go for whatever reason, so Mr. Diplomacy/Richard Alpert made it happen without diminishing Locke’s connection with the island.
- Sawyer’s mom’s name is Mary. Wonder if there is significance there? Maybe, maybe not.
- Did anybody notice last week that Sun’s hair has grown 12 inches in three months on the island. Yeah, me too.
And I end of course, with “Make Sayid the leader.” Homer thinks the mantra should be “Make Sayid naked.”
Boy, am I going to pay for that later on. Anyway, I feel like Lost is back. Lost during May sweeps is going to be fun.

Make Sayid naked? YES OH YES!
I think he’s prettier just running around with his shirt open. Leaves more to the imagination.
Such a handsome fellow, that Naveen Andrews. Although Daniel Dae Kim is beautiful, too.
Can they bring Mario Van Peebles on the show? Because I’d watch it for sure then. They’d be the Trinity of Pretty.

I just like nekkid people.
I’m sorry but I miss Jack. I wish he was his old self. He is so dang cute. I am dying to find out what it is that they need to tell Kate. Why is Kate sleeping with Sawyer? IIt’s got to be because Jack is protecting what’s her name. There’s just not enough info in one night.
