Window Into Small Town News
So, it’s football time. Squirrel Queen has put in about 60 hours over the weekend getting what we call the “football” tab together.
I realize we aren’t so creative about what we call it. Shut up.
In small town paper bizarro world, she’s the only one doing it with a bit of help from Scout.
There are no designers, fleet of reporters or photographers. Just here, a trusty Nikon D70 and a computer.
She’s a zombie at this point. A sports zombie. Hell, there should be a market for that.
Badger has also logged in the hours over the weekend getting ads completed for three different special sections. Ahh, the days we focused on news. I miss them.
And I’ve been sick as a dog so I’ve been about as much help as Mabel.
Why am I telling you this information on this hot Tuesday morning? Just to let you know a little bit about the goings on at a rural newspaper.
