A Few Reflections On BarCamp
SQ, Badger and I are headed back to Hooterville. BarCamp was pretty cool. I learned a lot, realized there was a whole lot I didn’t know, met people I’ve been reading for a long time throughout the weekend and saw good friends.
The one thing that struck me is that there is so much I don’t know. This world is changing. This medium is changing so quickly on the digital, technological plane. I didn’t “grow up” in this world, so me going to BarCamp was completely me walking out of my “comfort zone.”
I’m glad I did, but on a more serious note, there is so much to learn. I’m a little intimidated by that.
When I get home, after I’ve had a chance to think about, I’ll probably expound more with what a layman as myself got from this unconference.
Also, although I’m fixing (how’s that for a southern term) to drive for a couple of hours, but I wanted to let all of the new people I met that it was my profound pleasure to meet you in person. I’m honored to be part of your world and am humbled you are a part of mine.
Headed home to my non-virtual world.
