Ron Paul And Fox News

The Ron Paul contingency are going to be maaaaaaaad.

Sometimes, I’m flabbergasted at Fox News and its on-going love affair with the burning stupids.

Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo said this:

So, it’s all about Fox News. Paul’s out because he’s not a Fox News Bush-clone. Say whatever you want about the guy, Fox News shouldn’t be able to silence him because they don’t like his views.

I’m not for the guy, but doesn’t sound Fair and Balanced to me.

Just saying.

I have to agree with them on this one (BTW, ABC is going to narrow the field as well). It is time to narrow the field to the candidates that have a shot at winning the nomination based on all the polls. Paul and Duncan Hunter (the other candidate who is going to be left out) are not polling near the other guys. The stage has honestly been too crowded for too long in an effort to be fair to everyone.

  2. Exluding Ron Paul from the debate is a travesty. It’s unjust, unfair, and un-American.

If any of the other candidates had enought honor, integrity, or strength of character, they’d denounce the Fox debate and boycott it. The fact that they’d sell out to this travesty reveals a weakness of character that needs to be pointed out to people.

You mean like the Democratic Party candidates did?

We’ll continue after this brief message:
Due to our perfectly sensible policy of only giving attention to candidates who have name recognition according to the polls we conduct (due to our policy of giving them attention), we are unable to give attention to any candidates who do not have name recognition according to our polls (due to our policy of not giving them any attention). Thank you for your understanding. -MSM

Says who? The debates have all been very poorly run. The polls are not a realistic indication of the kind of support Ron Paul has (this dead horse has been beaten to pieces, I’ll not flog it again here). Ron Paul has raised more money and has poll numbers at least as good as some of the other candidates who aren’t excluded (Fred Thompson, for example).

“an effort to be fair to everyone”. Since when? The debates were not fair AT ALL. Ron Paul was given very little time to talk compared to the other candidates. The mainstream media outlets have been gushing colonfuls

The mainstream media outlets are owned by a handful of corporations that make millions off the war, and it has been almost comical how they have fallen all over themselves in their rush to marginalize the one candidate who actually has honor, integrity, and upholds the Constitution (that would be Ron Paul).

  6. Sorry, incomplete sentence: The mainstream media outlets have been gushing colonfuls of sewage about Ron Paul, much of it biased, skewed, misleading, and dowwnright false.
Fox News? I despise them. They cannot be trusted.

“You mean like the Democratic Party candidates did?” Yes, they did the sensible thing.

  7. pshaw says:

Censorship, in any form, is repulsive. All of the candidates should boycott the debate.

  8. newscoma says:

    PShaw, agreed.
Did I see you in Wally World last week? I turned around and you were gone.
Man, you are like the wind if it was you.

  9. I’m not for the guy, but doesn’t sound Fair and Balanced to me.

Well, big fat DUH. Liberals have been complaining about Fox News’ shenanigans for years. Maybe now that it’s happening to someone with an (R) after their name–even if it is Ron Paul–folks will believe us.

  10. newscoma says:

Sarcasm, dear. Sarcasm on my part on the Fox thang. :)
But, you make a good point, they don’t listen to us, but they are listening now that it’s Paul.
Hell, Fox is about as balanced as slinky that I tore up trying to quit smoking.
In other words, Not so much.

I can’t take anyone named Ron seriously.
