But I’ve got some bad news. That’s an OLD picture of the WCT and Jeff Joiner, the upright bass player, has moved to Texas. His replacement Baker Yates plays a standard electric.
Not as vusually pleasing, I know, but the sound is WAY more consistant. It’s always hard IMO to get a good live sound from an upright, so I’m glad for the change.
But its not as pretty, I know.
Also, Jeff’s bass had a secret compartment in it that housed a prop phone, and a hidden button that would make the phone ring. So every show somebody famous (quite often the President) would call with a funny request, which we would play.
Didn’t know Pesky had a band. That’s what I get for living in another time zone.
I’m eager to hear him. His band has an upright bass for pete’s sake.
