Third-Party Watch In Tennessee
Posted by newscoma | Posted in Tennessee | Posted on 08-03-2008
Here’s what the fab Joe Lance has to say:
After all, if we fail to preserve our liberty, not much of the rest of this stuff matters. Yes, I support Barack Obama, and I hope he becomes President; but if and when he does, I will be among his leading dissenters should he fail to adequately restore personal freedoms that have been damaged. I’m more flexible on the economic side of things: a little bit of collectivism certainly goes a long way, but it hasn’t been demonstrated to me that peace and security can’t exist without some. I think people are just greedy, but: whatever. My supply of energy is directed toward the civil liberties side of things, and I’ll let others fret about taxes (though I’ll join them in decrying wasteful or unnecessary spending).
Blogging is about what we think, I think?
Isn’t it?
With that said, he’s talking about this.
Good post from our cyber friend in Chattanooga.

White People And T Shirts
Posted by newscoma | Posted in Tennessee | Posted on 08-03-2008
This post is pretty much exclusively for my sis, Homer, and her husband, Squeegee Monkee.
Many people and cultures view t-shirts as a simple piece of apparel that can be acquired cheaply and worn in casual situations. For white people, it’s never that easy. The t-shirt is one of the most complex and expressive items in their entire wardrobe.
Your choice of casualwear says a lot about you, and there are stringent rules and hierarchies associated with T-shirts that you must know before venturing into any white-dominated social situations.
From Stuff White People Like.
(Homer and the Man-Child-Boy-Monkee that is her husband of like a thousand and 12 years own a screen printing shop. That would probably make more sense to you as why I’m posting this. I am, possibly inaccurately, that this post will make them laugh.)

Badger Beth’s New Blog
Posted by newscoma | Posted in Tennessee | Posted on 08-03-2008
Badger Beth loves Nascar.
As I’ve said many times in the past, I don’t get Nascar at all but she adores it.
So she’s doing this.

Where Human Decency Is Ignored
Posted by newscoma | Posted in Tennessee | Posted on 08-03-2008
I don’t know why I do these things to myself.
I don’t really go to Thaddeus Matthews Blog other than when he’s being written up by the Commercial Appeal or there is some reason when I see a headline on a post of his in an aggregator that gets my attention.
Last night, I saw on Knoxville Talks where Katie Allison Granju wrote this:
Shame on you, Thaddeus Matthews.
snip
I’m all for muckraking, truth-telling and aggressive reporting – on blogs and in the traditional press – but publishing these apparently illegally obtained photos of a murdered woman serves no purpose but your own need for attention
Me being me wondered “What the hell?”
This is going to be long, so there’s more after the jump.
