Joementum Or Something Like That …
To the surprise of four people living in Guam and an orange cat named Humphrey, Joe Leiberman is speaking at the Republican Convention.
Question because I really don’t know the answer: John McCain wouldn’t pick him. Would he?

I think he should. I’ve always really liked Joe Lieberman. I don’t care what ticket he’s on.
He’s the only one with sense enough to buck the parties.
It would probably be a bridge too far to have someone who is liberal on everything except foreign policy be a GOP veep. Also, it could be seen as an act of desperation, something not necessary with the polls currently tightening up.
Barry, I have a question. It’s a real question, though it may sound rhetorical. How come people applaud party-bucking when a Democrat does it but not when a Republican does?
As for Lieberman specifically, I’ve always found him sanctimonious even when I agreed with him.
“To the surprise of four people living in Guam and an orange cat named Humphrey,”
I have to laugh. I’m stealing that line.
