BlogHer Nashville Cancelled

I’m really bummed that BlogHer Nashville has been canceled. Here’s some info on it:

Delivering that kind of high-quality experience requires a tremendous amount of company, sponsor and community member interest, participation and resources. Four weeks out from the start of the Tour we realized that it only made sense to carry forward with Boston and DC, where we have very strong sponsor and community interest and participation. We did not have that same combination of sponsor and community support in the other four cities that would make it reasonable to devote the kind of resources it would take to produce a BlogHer conference and meet both sponsor and attendee expectations.

I was psyched about it as were a lot of people around the area. It’s really too bad. A lot of us had planned to meet there for the first time although we know each other on the web.

Dang.

Well, now is the time to tell everyone about ConvergeSouth in Greensboro. Then everyone can come out and meet the ‘Coma and have some BBQ.

Yeah, I’m sad, too. I was so excited about meeting all you guys. Are you going to SXSW Interactive in Austin? I’m going … and BlogHer might have a meet up there. Most groups like that do at SX.
