I was just talking with a relative about the folksy thing this week - he appreciates the "like me" thing, but I don't want someone "like me." I want someone 10x smarter than me, someone who can kick my ass with the facts and their understanding of them, someone who should be in office because they're better qualified than 99.9% of the rest of us, not because they seem like they'd be fun to have a beer with. Argh, no kidding.
