In A Box

This is the kind of aunt that I want to be. The nieces don’t have a grandmother on my side of the family and their other grandma lives in Hendersonville.

Let me tell you something that will tell you just about all you need to know about my grandma: A. is wearing my grandma’s wedding dress, to play in, because my grandma delighted in seeing us enjoy it, and she had no desire to see it just kept in a box, unused.

That’s my kind of grandma. I’m just Aunt Tick, but I want them to feel everything, touch it and know that not everything needs to be locked away in a box.

Life is just too damned short.
