He certainly was a special little guy. And now little children that are going through what Brenden went through will be more courageous because of him. God has his reasons for the things he does. Brenden was a tool in Gods hand to cause the little chidren to see that this is not the end of the road. Angels are among us an Brenden was one of them.

My son works amidst/is an advocate for the Seattle homeless. Brendan Foster, unfortunately, didn’t live long enough to realize what incredible influence his simple wish would have. One thoughtful, terminally-ill little boy has taught us an undeniable lesson. I, for one, will never forget it.

I saw his story the other day on CNN. Damn near made me cry. Instead I donated some canned goods to the local Food City for their drive.

i dont care if your 11 or 56,

this kid brought hope to the lives of many americans

he opened my eyes to a world that is no surrounded by death, war, and money but a world of warm harted people thriving to do the right thing.

I think every voice, his, yours and mine are important in helping all people. A lot of us are very active and the local community, including myself, has continually done fundraising and awareness for St. Jude as well as other helping organizations.
There is a large blogging community that focuses on homeless issues as well as other causes.
When I read about Brendan Foster, it expressed more for me than just his cause. It was about, for me at least, that life never should be taken for granted.

its a shame, really. we [healthy people] ask everyday for the homeless to be fed EVERYDAY, but as soon as some sick 11 year old comes along with some request that could charm the hearts of america, people would get up and do what they have to do to help others? you know, god bless that boy because its a shame that we have to be on our deathbeds in order for someone to help others. actually you all should be ashamed of yourselves because we ALL know that life is taken for granted. maybe we should get all of the sweetest sick kids together for a documentary coupled with all the sick elderly people and tell them to make everyone else find a damn cure for their ailments. why do we all find one for that? whats the big damned deal? all of the poor sick HUNGRY african kids are on TV every SINGLE day starving for just one simple donation and no one does it. st. judes hospital for kids with cancer is on all the time and yet we cannot donate? PLEAASE, give me a break! but no matter how nonsensical this may be, im glad that the homeless did get the help they needed BECAUSE of this boy. thank god for him because if the kid wasnt sick, who would do it?
