My fascination with Bettie Page has been around since pretty much the say I learned that both men and women look pretty darned good in leather.

The southern woman who was born in Nashville broke down barriers with her unabashed sexuality that challenged but didn’t cower. She titillated a generation and outraged them as well, making people have to question their own views of sexuality. She was unafraid.

I woke up to the news that she passed during the night.

Thank you, Bettie. Despite what people might have thought, you made the world a much more interesting place to be.
