Goodbye Goody’s?

As this is the only place in Hoots to buy stuff, it’s a sad day.
It’s what I and others have been speculating for days, if not weeks: Goody’s Family Clothing is shutting its doors for good.
The hometown success story — starting right here in East Tennessee more than 50 years ago — has ended with the news that Goody’s will be liquidating. Going-out-of-business sales could start as early as Friday.
Carly Harrington is following the story. I have to tell you, in many ways I’m bummed.
I’m bummed too! I rely on Goody’s gift cards for birthdays and holidays frequently. Everyone in my family loves Goody’s!
yeah, they pulled out of p-town some time ago, much to my dismay. i’m blaming wal-mart. then again, i blame wal-mart for just about everything. because it is all their fault.
sad part is, how many in hoots will lose jobs?
im dissapointed that goody’s is closing i love that store i dont like the person who’s idea was to close all of the goody’s stores
