A Privilege, Not A Right

I have a great idea for all of the elected officials in the great state of Tennessee on both sides of the political aisle because we all have the same goal. And that is simple, we have to work together so we don’t get torn apart. We are in economic times that will affect the children in my life I care about.

I’m not messing around here. Get it together.

A.) Quit playing games.

B.) Get your heads out of your hineys. Case in point: Kent Williams and Susan Lynn. If Williams did what he was accused of, and it looks like he just might have, then bust him. And don’t use the information two years later and try to make Lynn look bad. Good for her for blogging about it today. Shame on Mumpower. And Stacey, clean up your property. The folks here did within a week. You can too.

C.) Remember that you, despite the letter beside your name whether it’s an R or a D, were given a privilege of representing your constituents. It’s a privilege, not a right. And they are suffering. Remember, everyone has a story and everyone is of value and deserves a chance.

D.) Quit creating weapons of mass distraction. Things are going to be tough for us in this state. Address those issues and quit playing politics. For five minutes for crying out loud.

E.) Knock off the elitist crap when it comes to this state. And don’t let other people get away with it. Case in point: TVA.

I hate to have to tell you these things. You know better.

And you have people watching. Just Google your name and you might just find out what people are saying about you.

Alright. Rant over.

Can we just learn to get along because there is work to be done?

Sharing Is Caring (6)

  1. I just gave you a standing ovation.

  2. Thank you. It just hacks me off sometimes.

  3. Amen!

  4. awesome!

and this is not just in your state, its all states, and straight up to the very highest office in the land.

  5. ‘coma, there’s no way any politicians can ever stop playing games. It’s always a game. That’s all politics is, a childish game that big people play because you can’t play Monopoly or Life or Mousetrap and make money at it.

There’s nothing noble about it anymore, there’s nothing to indicate one side is better than the other – they’re all game-players and nobody wins except them, because winning the game is all that matters.

Why is politics so attractive to people who aren’t politicians? What’s the allure? It’s all so immature and pointless… Who cares who’s the head of the Tennessee DMC? or the RMC? I truly don’t understand.

  6. [...] left a comment. It’s a good example of how people feel about politics right [...]
