The child was dubbed “Blanket” by the press as Jackson carried him around with a blanket over his head all the time in infancy, including the infamous scene which horrified people around the world when Jackson dangled the child over a balcony in Berlin in 2002 – see small pic on left of this page:

Whether or not MJ actually picked up the habit himself of calling the kid Blanket or not I don’t know – probably doubtful – but the child was dubbed “Blanket” by the press, not by MJ himself.

Beth, I had to ask the Squirreled one. I asked her yesterday when Palin had a kid named Blanket. She said “NOooo, that’s MJ’s kid.” Me = Fail.

Now see.. his real name isn’t Blanket. It’s Prince Michael the second…Blanket was to I suppose differentiate him from Prince Michael the first. I think. However..I would think one could come up with something BETTER than Blanket. Sheesh.

how did you miss the kid named Blanket. Sidenote, naming a child “Blanket” proves MJ was on some happy pills.
