Dropping In On The Candidates

Sean did a lot of the legwork online about Democratic gubernatorial candidates running for office and their newly released campaign numbers. Roy Herron and Mike McWherter earned about $650,000, Kimmie Mac hauled in about $300,000 and then Ward Cammack had about $200,000 in freshly caught clams.

This is the time schedule, and also remember cash-on-hand as well.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Roy Herron said Tuesday he has raised $650,000 for his campaign in 30 days, while rival Mike McWherter announced he has raised a like amount in 47 days.

And Sean brings up this:

Based on the initial reports, it looks like McWherter has the big bucks in his campaign coffers…his average donation was around $1,700. McMillan and Herron had more low dollar (relatively speaking) donations with an average around $400 and $330 respectively.

Here’s what I’m noticing from the blogs. Kim McMillan is pushing healthcare reform this week, Mike is touting a Tennessean story on his blog about being in the early lead with Wamp on the GOP side with a straw poll from the Southern Political Report and Roy’s blog still isn’t 100 percent up and running other than to take donations.

Ward Cammack’s site has been active for awhile and remains the one most up to date at this point. The big question right now is what is Sen. Jim Kyle doing at the moment. A quick google search doesn’t show up much other than his announcement earlier this month.
