Varmit Blogging Is My New Niche

On Tuesday, December 15,, in Varmit Blogging, by newscoma

In keeping in the spirit of niche blogging which I feel woefully lacking in this craphole of joy I call Newscoma, I have decided that I need a niche, a gimmick if you will, that will put me on the A-List.

Of course I’m talking about I am going to become the premier raccoon blogger of the state.

Now, bear with me, as most of the raccoons I see are usually roadkill. And this also goes to skunks, who apparently go into mating season and then throw themselves on Hwy. 22 with reckless and fatal abandon. Maybe a more varied niche is something I should think about:

Varmit Blogging.

When I was a kid, my grandfather always told me that raccoons were most likely rabid. This was back in the day when any animal was rabid, Atticus Finch had to go and shoot them even though he was a pacifist. Or at least that’s what “To Kill A Mockingbird” taught me. See the fake knowledge I’m making up for your very own pleasure, all five of you!

So I guess I will continue my quest in talking about raccoons, skunks, beavers and possums, which rank up there with catfish in being very creepy. Little know story here at Chez Coma is that my brother-in-law, when he sees roadkill, always says that the animals are asleep. I find comfort in that lie, I assure you.

You will thank me later for this service I’m offering.

That’s just gross, Coma. Oh, wait, I thought it said “vomit blogging.” My mistake.

  2. Damn. Someone beat me to vomit blogging.

It scares me when I discover there are people out there as warped as I am.

  3. Tabitha says:

I’m a third on vomit blogging!

Though let it be known, since you are the bomb, I was going to fully support said vomit blogging.

Well, Varmint blogging does offer a wide array of subject matter (as does vomit blogging for that matter).

You can blog about the ample varieties of varmints and vermin that are indigenous to the State of Tennessee. Racoons, ‘Possum, Squirrels (no offense, Queenie), Snakes, Republicans, Mice, Ground Hogs….

There’s no end to the material.

Matter of fact, I’ve been blogging about vermin since 2002. It hasn’t exactly put me on the “A” list…or even the “F” list. But it makes me all warm and fuzzy. And by jove, warm and fuzzy tickles. :P
