Can We Have Google Fiber In Hoots?

On Saturday, March 13,, in Tennessee, by newscoma

As none of my elected dudes are asking for this, pretend that Al Franken represents Hoots and we will call it a day.

Could we get Rep. Mark Maddox or Sen. Roy Herron on this please or am I on my own?

I’m on my own I have a sad feeling.

Unfortunately, Al Franken has more brains and guts than most all TN politicians, of both major parties, combined (some exceptions apply).

Pro-active and forward thinking are simply whimsical notions that are foreign to our goober pols. Sad thing is, it will likely require a generational turnover to correct this problem. Thank God our youth are getting smarter.

  4. I Googled Google Fiber and Tennessee – and could only find a sad Facebook page for a Lewisburg effort: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=356510293808

C’mon Volunteer State. This would make such a huge difference for a lot of communities. I can’t believe Oak Ridge/Knoxville isn’t doing something. Tullahoma, where are you???

I can’t get behind a Duluth effort, but it looks like Asheville (of course) has got a campaign to get Google fiber.

  5. Someone get me a job in Tennessee so I can campaign for things like this. Please. I would love to do that.
