The $175 Hamburger
Posted by newscoma | Posted in Newscoma | Posted on 22-05-2008
Hoots has some really wickedly good hamburgers. We have juke joint burgers, a little family drive-in called K and N that makes a slaw burger (and slaw dog) that would make slap your mama and a restaurant also offers a burger called the “Big Ass Cheeseburger” that I believe is the size of poodle. Except for the latter, all of these sandwiches run about 2 bucks.
Well, say no more, you can now buy this in New York City.
A Manhattan restaurant is offering a hamburger that costs $175 and is topped with gold. It’s made of Kobe beef. It comes with black truffles, foie gras and Gruyere cheese in addition to gold flakes.
I realize that the gold and the truffles can make your burger a bit pricey as well as the addition of Kobe beef but I can tell you this without hesitation.
There ain’t a burger in the world worth $175.
